Hidden lingual braces are well-suited for people who simply don’t want their braces to be seen. Here at Orchard Orthodontics, we use the Incognito® lingual fixed appliance system to create a custom-tailored treatment plan for each patient, hiding their braces in plain sight!
Lingual braces use brackets and archwires just like traditional braces - with some distinct differences. These extra-small brackets are fabricated in gold to prevent a metallic taste in your mouth and then fitted on the inside surface of your teeth.
If, at your free consultation, we believe lingual braces are the orthodontic appliance you’ll most benefit from, the next step is to take an impression of your teeth. This is sent to Germany, where using the latest technology and laboratory techniques, a set up is made of your postulated tooth movements. Robots are even used to fabricate the wires to ensure a fantastic finish!
